At our "Stay and Play" we sang several songs to our guests including some Christmas favourites and "Frere Jacques"!
We would like to say a big "Thank You" to volunteers from the RRT Group who have made our Nursery gardens look wonderful! They have been busy painting and tidying our garden and have given our playhouse a complete makeover. Thank you for giving us a lovely area for our children to play in again.
Drop In Sessions
This term we are inviting parents/carers to "drop in" sessions on Tuesdays between 9 - 10am and 12.45 - 1.45pm. You are welcome to come in and spend time with your child, look through their work or help prepare for activities. This is a trial for this term and if popular we will continue throughout the year on a different day.
We had a dress-up day at Nursery on the 31st October. We iced cakes and played in some spooky gloop!
Involving & Including Parents & Carers
--- Encouraging 'Play Dough Play' at Home ---
If you were unable to make it to our 'Stay & Play' sessions and Nativity performances on Thursday 15th December, you can access some helpful hand-outs, that were given out to parents/carers on the day, by clicking on the links below.
Find out how to make some special 'Frozen' themed play dough with your child at home . . . and learn all about the important learning opportunities your child accesses when making their own play dough! Your child will have made play dough independently in Nursery and followed a pictorial recipe to do so. You will see photos of your child doing this exciting activity in their Learning Log!
Did you receive your copy of our Developmental Milestones Info Leaflet?
If not, you can easily access it by clicking on the link below:
On 29th October, 2015 we took part in a sponsored run. With the money raised, we have bought a new sink unit for our home corner. We think that it looks lovely and it is very much in keeping with our developing 'Visual Hygiene' colour scheme, layout and organisation within the Nursery.
Many thanks to all those who contributed! (03.11.16)
