Netball - 2017/18

Our last training session of 1718 term was today and the following awards were handed out :-
COACHES PLAYER - Abigail       PLAYERS PLAYER - Isla

Well done girls, you have shown great improvement in both your skills and knowledge of netball - keep up the good work.

We had a glorious afternoon in the sun at the netball festival.  We entered two teams and all the children had a great time.  Our girls team won all their 4 matches - well done girls, a strong team going forward to the school league in Jan 2019.  Our mixed team weren't as successful but still played with great determination and had a fab time.

Thank you to the parents who helped with transport!

Thank you to the organisers of the festival - it is a great event!

The P&K Netball Festival at Glenearn Campus is taking place on Wednesday 6th June. We are entering 2 x P6 teams - please pop by to support the teams!

The netball league results have been issued and I am happy to report that we came third in our group which is a great result for a predominantly P6 team - but unfortunately it did mean we missed being invited to the finals day held yesterday 28/3/18. Big congratulation to Kinnoull PS who came 1st on the day!

A big thank you to our league team - you showed great determination and commitment and I am proud of our results and I'm confident we will enter the league next year with a very strong P7 team!

Netball League

21/02/18 at 3.30PM  vs Errol (Dunb 11 Errol 3) - Great win for us!!
14/03/18 at 3.30pm   vs Balhousie (Dunb 5 Balhousie 1)

Again parent help with transport is essential for all our league matches.

Netball has proved extremely popular this year with 31 children signing up for training.
Until the October Holidays the children have been able to train outside. After the October Holidays the training sessions will have to move inside which means that the group will be too large.
This means, unfortunately, that Primary Five will no longer be able to attend netball training.

They have shown great commitment and determination in the training sessions and we do hope this decision does not dampen their spirits and they take the opportunity to continue with this sport and re-join when they are in P6.  The last session for P5s will be Tuesday 4th October.

August 2017
Netball started back on 22nd August 2017.   We welcomed a healthy in-take of P5s and a couple of new children from P5/6 and P6 - it's great to have you all join us and we now have a strong team of 28 children attending training.  We're enjoying getting outside to train and hopefully this will continue well into the autumn months as the gym hall just isn't big enough for our growing group!

Details for the 2018 league will follow in Dec 2017.
